The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists announces the Call
for Thranhardt Lecture Presentations to be presented at the
34th Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium,
February 27 - March 1, 2008 in Orlando, FL.
The Howard R. Thranhardt Lecture Series is an education fund that was
established in 1995 by J.E. Hanger Southeast in memory of Howard R.
Thranhardt, CP. The fund provides a $1,000 honorarium for one hour of
education programming at the Academy Annual Meeting.
Based upon the submitted abstracts, not more than four presentations
will be chosen as potential recipients of the Thranhardt Lecture Series
honorarium. These presentations will be delivered at the Annual Meeting.
The two best presentations will be determined based upon content,
delivery, clinical, and scientific relevance of the presentation. Two
$500 honoraria will be awarded to the selected presentations.
The abstracts that are selected for the Thranhardt Lecture Series will,
with the author's permission, be forwarded to the Journal of Prosthetics
and Orthotics (JPO) Editorial Review Board for consideration for
inclusion in a future issue of the JPO.
Requirements for Submission of Abstract:
1. All abstracts must be original work, attributable to the author.
2. Presentations should be 20 minutes in length.
Deadline for Abstract Submission: July 31, 2007
