As paper submissions are now in full swing for IFESS 2007 several issues
have come up that are addressed below. Please continue to email me with
questions as they arise.
Best Regards,
Brian
Item 1: It has come to our attention that published short conference
papers like those of the IFESS conference (abstracts greater than 300
words) violate the submission policy of at least one and perhaps other
peer-reviewed journals and thus hinder or prevent later publication.
For those considering a submission to the IFESS 2007 meeting who may be
faced with this quandary, please submit the short paper according to the
template provided on the conference website and send a request to
btsmith@shrinenet.org that only the
abstract of the short paper be published in the written and electronic
proceedings. This will allow the scientific committee to fairly judge
the submission but protect the future publication plans of the
author(s).
Item 2: Several authors have been unable to upload their pdf files onto
the submission webpage. Fortunately this has been the exception and not
the rule. For those with such difficulty, you can send an email with
your pdf paper as an attachment to support@owpm.com and copy it to
btsmith@shrinenet.org . Include the
first author's name and paper title in the email body. Still fill out
all the other requested information on the paper submission website so
that we have a complete submission.
