The Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Pediatric
Physical Therapist to join the clinical team at the Center for Gait and
Movement Analysis (CGMA).
Recognized as one of the nation's best hospitals for kids,* The
Children's Hospital combines the very best in pediatric medicine, with a
child-friendly environment and a family-centered approach to care. CGMA
is a modern clinical gait analysis facility that provides cutting edge,
computer-assisted analysis of gait and movement disorders in children
and adults. The facility evaluates approximately 350 patients per year
and has been providing these services since July, 1999.
On October 1, 2007, The Children's Hospital and CGMA will officially
open the doors at our new facility next door to the University of
Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center. As part of this move,
CGMA will have two full motion capture areas, one for over-ground
walking assessment and the other for body weight supported treadmill
recordings and upper extremity evaluations.
This new opportunity is for a full-time Physical Therapist who is
licensed or licensure eligible in Colorado. The position requires two
years experience in pediatric physical therapy and a strong desire to
work exclusively in a busy clinical gait laboratory. Two or more years
experience in quantitative gait analysis and a Pediatrics Certified
Specialist designation are preferred. Applicants should have clinical
experience in the areas of neurologically-based movement disorders,
especially cerebral palsy, be comfortable preparing extensive,
data-driven patient reports using Microsoft Office applications, and be
confident working as a principal member of a multi-disciplinary team.
