Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Motor Control

The School of Medical Sciences seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer
in Motor Control to teach in its undergraduate Health and Exercise Science
program and carry out research in motor control. The appointee will be
required to teach in the motor control, neuromuscular rehabilitation, and
related areas.
Essential criteria: PhD or equivalent in exercise science or a related
discipline; capacity for academic leadership in the discipline area; a
significant record of achievement in independent research in the area of
exercise science as evidenced by a record of publications in leading
journals; record of excellent achievement in teaching and supervision at
undergraduate and postgraduate levels; proven ability to attract nationally
competitive research funding; proven record of successful interactions with
appropriate professional organizations and relevant industry authorities;
research focus overlapping with existing research programs in the Health and
Exercise Science Unit; capacity and willingness to undertake administrative
roles within the School; ability and willingness to contribute to the Unit's
Lifestyle Clinic; an understanding of equity and diversity principles;
knowledge of OHS responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant OHS
training.
The salary range for Lecturer is A$70,000-A$82,000 and Senior Lecturer is
A$85,000-A$97,000 per year depending on qualifications and experience.
Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of
employment.
