    Position: Assistant or Associate Professor - Orthopedic Physical Therapy

    The Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences,
    Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine invites applicants for
    a full-time, 12-month appointment in a non-tenure track position in the
    area of Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Teaching responsibilities will
    involve team-teaching in the musculoskeletal and kinesiology courses in our
    entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum. The position also
    includes student advising, scholarship, and service on departmental and
    university committees. Depending on the experience and background of the
    applicant, the position is being offered in the clinical or
    clinical-investigator tracks. Academic rank and salary are negotiable.

    Ideal applicants will hold a post-professional doctoral degree. Candidates
    with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, Orthopedic Clinical
    Specialization and a strong clinical background will also be considered.
    Applicants should demonstrate a successful record of academic teaching and
    clinical research in musculoskeletal physical therapy. . The ability to
    assist in the development and coordination of an evidence-based orthopedic
    clinical residency program is desirable. Illinois state physical therapy
    licensure or eligibility is required.

    The Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences is a part of
    the vibrant educational and cultural community of
    Northwestern University. Collaboration with
    faculty in the Departments of Orthopedic Surgery, Physical Medicine &
    Rehabilitation, Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering is available and will
    be encouraged. With the abundance of high quality teaching and research
    experiences within the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University,
    including the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Northwestern Memorial
    Hospital and Children's Memorial Medical Center, this position represents a
