The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Basel, Switzerland, and the Basel
University Children’s Hospital (UKBB) seek to appoint at the interdisciplinary
Institute for Clinical Morphology and Biomedical Engineering (CMBE) a
TENURE-TRACK RESEARCH PROFESSOR IN PEDIATRIC ORTHOPEDICS
Salary support, laboratory space and generous start-up funds are available for
this newly created position.
The successful applicant will have research experience in an appropriate area of
pediatric orthopedics applying state-of-the-art biomechanical, biophysical,
molecular and/or structural biological methods to his/her research.
Internationally recognized scientific accomplishments, the ability to establish
and lead a prominent research program and the motivation to work cooperatively
with other research groups of the University of Basel are expected.
The successful candidate has a degree in Medicine, Bioengineering or a related
subject, and has comprehensive experience in experimental medical research,
macrobiology, biomechanics or an associated field.
