POSITION: Engineer with Talas Engineering, Inc. Full-time position

JOB DESCRIPTION: Talas Engineering, Inc. is looking for an Engineer to
assist the Principals of the firm with diverse and challenging tasks
including information gathering and processing, computer analysis and
simulation, data collection and analysis, and static and dynamic
testing. Our work includes accident scene investigation and
documentation, accident vehicle inspections, computer analysis and
simulation of vehicular accidents and human kinematics, injury analysis
and determination, job site analysis, and overall forensic analysis and
testing. The candidate must be a creative thinker, self-motivated, a
team player, have outstanding oral and written communication skills, and
be comfortable interacting with technical and non-technical people.
Additional Useful Skills:
* Knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, and/or biology
* Literature research skills
* Familiarity with dynamic testing, data collection, and data analysis
* Knowledge of accident reconstruction software such as PC-Crash or
EDSMAC
* Experience using occupant kinematics modeling software such as MADYMO
or ATB
* Surveying experience
QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. and/or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or
Biomechanics with a strong background in dynamics.
