Faculty Position / Prosthetics-Orthotics Program
The Allied Health Sciences School at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking applicants for a full time, 12 month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor in the Prosthetics-Orthotics Program. Applicants must hold an earned Ph.D. or other terminal degree in biomechanics, rehabilitation engineering, or related field. Ideal applicants will have a background with academic scholarship, demonstrated teaching effectiveness and a well defined research agenda with a good publications record. Research should have clear application to the Prosthetics-Orthotics program and have good potential for external funding. Primary responsibilities will include teaching, research, and student mentorship with opportunity to assist in program transition from a baccalaureate to a master’s level program.
