  • Position Announcement: Director,School of Chemical Eng. and Bioeng., Washington State University

    Washington State University (WSU) is seeking a highly motivated,
    visionary leader to direct the School of Chemical Engineering and
    Bioengineering. The Director will show leadership in enhancing graduate
    education, increasing research expenditures, building research groups in
    critical thrust areas, forging strategic interdisciplinary
    collaborations, developing educational programs for preparing globally
    competitive engineers, and expanding successful interactions with
    industry and alumni. Preference will be given to candidates who have an
    active research program in either alternative energy or in
    bioengineering and they will be expected to continue that research at
    WSU. An earned doctorate in a relevant engineering discipline is
    required, as is demonstrated potential for academic leadership, a strong
    record of scholarship, success in effective integration of research and
    teaching, and proven success in funding from industry and government
    agencies.
