Biomechanics Laboratory Supervisor
A biomedical engineer with strong experimental and communication
skills is looked for to supervise our laboratory for micro- and
nanomechanics of biological and biomimetic materials. The candidate
will be responsible for the equipment as well as the organisation of
the laboratory. She/he will support both teaching and research
activities in biomechanics. In the latter context, she/he will also
participate to a number of experimental projects in cooperation with
medical institutions and biomedical companies.
The candidate must hold a Master’s Degree or an equivalent European
Engineering Diploma in biomedical engineering, mechanical
engineering, physics engineering, material science or a closely
related field. Knowledge of the German language and European Union
citizenship are useful, but NOT mandatory. Salary range is €28’294-
€47’390 depending on experience and qualifications and this full time
position comes with comprehensive benefits, including medical
insurance and retirement. The Vienna University of Technology aims to
