Center for Applied Biomechanics at the University of Virginia
The University of Virginia, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace
Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Science, is seeking
applicants for a Research Scientist position at the Center for Applied
Biomechanics. Required qualifications include: a PhD. in Biomechanical or
Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a strong background and extensive
experience in experimental testing, preferably of both biological and
non-biological materials; and have a proven record of proposal, report and
journal writing. Preferred qualifications include: a strong background and
experience in constitutive modeling, impact phenomena, statistical
techniques and prior experience in academia, but applicants with strong
research-oriented industrial experience will be considered. Applicants are
advised that the position involves the use of cadaveric material.
