  • ISEK 2008 call for abstracts ? mark your calendar for June 18-21,2008

    Dear Colleague:

On behalf of the organizing committee of ISEK 2008, we would like to
invite you to participate in the XVII International Congress of the
International Society of Electrophysiology and Kinesiology. See
    https://www.isek2008.ca for further details.

We are honoured to have Dr. Roberto Merletti delivering the
prestigious Basmajian Lecture at our opening reception on June 18.
His talk is entitled "Applications of high resolution surface EMG to
    skeletal and sphincter muscles".

Seven excellent keynote speakers will discuss topics ranging from
"Spasticity Assessment" (Kaufman) to "Virtual Reality in
Rehabilitation" (Deutsch), and these speakers are developing special
symposia to follow their addresses. The purpose of these symposia is
to enhance information sharing and collaborative efforts among members
    of the ISEK community.

Four pre-conference workshops will be presented on June 18, 2008,
including: "EMG Decomposition" (McGill and Clancy), "FES in Spinal
Cord Injury" (Popovic and Ditor), "Neurophysiology of Aging" (Doherty
and Rice), and "Pelvic Floor Muscle Function" (Hodges).

We invite you to submit an abstract presenting your original research
to one of our twelve research tracks. Click on:
    https://www.isek2008.ca/downloads/brochure.pdf to download the
conference brochure in PDF format. The conference website
https://www.isek2008.ca will be open soon for abstract submission and
early registration. The abstract submission deadline is Dec. 31, 2007.

We look forward to seeing you at ISEK 2008 in Niagara Falls, Ontario,
Canada from June 18 to June 21, 2008.
