    Human Movement Science Doctoral Program
    Assistantship Positions

    The Human Movement Science Doctoral Program in the Department of
    Exercise Science, Sport, Physical Education and Recreation (ESPER) is
    seeking highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a
    doctorate. Applicants should have a background in
    biomechanics/neuroscience/motor control/motor learning. Faculty areas
    of interest include lower extremity injury management/prevention and
    postural control/gait/strength analysis. Applicants willing to help
    seek external funding are highly desired.

    10 month position beginning August 2008
    Location: Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA (Southeastern Virginia, USA)
    Position Description: Research and/or Teaching Assistant for
    associated faculty

    Qualifications:
    - 2 years experience as an ATC, PT, CSCS or with research
    experience in the biomechanics/neuroscience/motor
    control/motor learning field
    - Earned masters degree
    - Previous experience in research
    - Interest in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students

    Stipend: $15,000 + full tuition waiver (Fall and Spring); additional
    research or clinical positions are available to supplement
    teaching/research assistantship. Old Dominion University offers a
    Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Human Movement Science.
