Dear Subscribers,
I am interested in measuring precisely the location of club-ball impacts
in golf. Of course, the simplest way to do this is to get some impact tape
and adhere it to the face of the club, but I was wondering whether any
other methods or techniques have been developed for this purpose? I've had
a reasonable search through the literature and couldn't find anything
specifically although Alan Hocknell's JSS paper entitled 'High-performance
driver design: benefits for all golfers" looked like it was based on some
pretty accurate measurements but no information about how these were taken
was provided.
