Position: Two (2) Biomechanics Applications Support Technician
Location: East and West Coast offices
Qualisys Motion Systems of Sweden is a WORLDWIDE leader in manufacturing and
providing 3D digital, motion capture systems. Our wholly owned subsidiary,
Qualisys North America, (QNA), has created two new positions in our Medical
Sciences Division. QNA is seeking two qualified - laboratory oriented,
Biomechanics Application Technicians that can support our recent growth in
North America, QNA customers as well as to assist in technical sales,
support, marketing and application production.
Working closely with our headquarters team in Sweden and our offices in
Chicago and Charlotte, this US based position will be have joint
responsibilities for customer support, developing user applications and
providing mocap solutions with in the Medical Sciences Division.
Each technician must have scientific, laboratory and academic knowledge
pertaining to biomechanics and the use of Qualisys 3D technology, force
plates, emg, VR, animation and a wide variety of software applications such
as but not limited to Visual 3D, The Motion Monitor, Kwon 3D, Labview,
MatLab, etc.
Responsibilities associated with this full-time position (40 hours per week)
are:
* Knowledge of data collection procedures and the integrated
methodology of Qualisys hardware and software systems and related third
party technology,
* Handling customer service and support questions and providing
accurate and precise solutions to the customer,
* Developing biomechanics applications as identified by market
demand,
* Installation, training and communication skills and educating new
and existing customers on the use of Qualisys and its integrated technology,
* Supporting sales and marketing in demonstrations and trade shows,
and
* Additional duties as assigned
Requirements for this position are:
* A Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Engineering, or related
discipline. A Master's degree or equivalent experience in related areas is
preferred.
* The person should be detail oriented, computer literate with the
capacity to manage and coordinate several tasks concurrently.
* The position involves close interaction with customer faculty,
clinicians, technicians, MD's and graduate/undergraduate students that have
and or will be purchasing Qualisys 3D technology; thus the successful
candidate would have strong people and communication skills,
* Applicants with Qualisys 3D mocap experiences and adequate
programming (e.g., V3D, Motion Monitor, C++, Matlab and Labview) skills will
be given preference,
* Position will require reimbursed, overnight corporate travel
20-35%,
* A Valid Passport and the ability to travel beyond USA borders
without restrictions is an absolute requirement
