creativity and offers comprehensive support to new faculty, the Physical
Therapy Division at The Ohio State University has added two new 12-month
tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor or higher level.
The successful candidate will have a focused area of research with the
capacity to compete for external funding; post-doctoral training is valued.
Teaching opportunities exist in the entry level DPT program, and in the
School's advanced Masters and PhD programs. You may also work with students
from interdisciplinary PhD programs including Integrated Biomedical Sciences,
Biomedical Engineering, and Neuroscience as appropriate. A Sports Physical
Therapy residency program is established and others are in development.
Responsibilities include teaching in a case-based integrated curriculum,
scholarship, student advising, and service. Qualifications include a
doctoral degree (PhD, EdD) and eligibility for physical therapy licensure in
Ohio. Opportunities and resources are available to support faculty
development and scholarly activities, including a start-up package
commensurate with needs and qualifications. Applicants with any area of
expertise are invited to apply. Areas targeted for strategic growth in our
College of Medicine include Neuroscience, Imaging, Cancer, Heart, Critical
Care, Transplantation, and Sports Medicine. Candidates whose research aligns
with one or more of these areas will be especially valued.
