Announcement of the novel award
NOVEL AWARD:

For the best paper in pressure distribution measurements the
novel award will be presented at this meeting for the second time.
First prize: 10,000 DM,
Second prize: 3,000 DM,
Third prize: 1,000 DM.
Applications will be reviewed by an international jury of specialists
in the field of medicine and biomechanics:

Award papers:
Four copies of the full length award papers (15-20 pages) are required.
The papers shall present original work in the area of pressure
distribution measurements which has not been previously published or
presented. For blind review please add a separate title page with
authors4 names and affiliations but put no names on the remaining pages.
Free presentations:
One page abstracts are invited as contributions to the above mentioned
session topics.
Format:
Papers and abstracts should be typed or laser printed (preferably),
double-spaced 12 point times-roman typeface on 15 by 24 cm area.
For illustrations please use only line drawings.
If available, an additional copy of the paper or abstract should be
sent on a 3.544 disk either in MS-Word format (DOS or Macintosh) or
as a simple text file in ASCII code.
Notice of acceptance will be sent out by May 15.

downtown close by the Danube river and offers rooms for normal rates
and special weekend rates:

Ulm is located half-way between the capital cities of Munich, Bavaria
and Stuttgart, Baden-W|rttemberg and is served with hourly railroad
connections from/to both locactions.
The Munich and Stuttgart airports each are connected to the Deutsche
Bundesbahn (railroad) by public transportation. The Stuttgart airport
is about one hour driving distance away, Munich close to two hours.
A private airport service provides transportation for small groups
to/from the airports at reaso nable costs. (Stuttgart / Munich:
