    Position: Teaching Responsibilities in the Musculoskeletal Practice
    Pattern

    Join Elon University's DPT faculty and enjoy a career in the academic
    setting where there is time and support for all activities related to
    being in academia: teaching, research, and service. There are 13
    full-time faculty positions with 1 FTE for associated faculty (student -
    faculty ratio 1:8).

    Elon University has 6 members of the core faculty available to meet with
    you at Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy
    Association, February 6-9, 2008 in the Opryland Convention Center in
    Nashville, Tennessee.

    Assistant or Associate Professor

    Elon University in partnership with Alamance Regional Medical Center
    announces the availability of a full-time, tenure-track faculty position
    in the entry-level DPT program Available summer 2008 Physical Therapist
    with a Doctorate

    Come to North Carolina and join our highly qualified, dynamic faculty
    including 13 full-time and 7 part-time faculty. Primary teaching
    responsibilities for this new position will include work with the 2
    faculty who currently teach the musculoskeletal content for the DPT
    curriculum. Other teaching responsibilities will be negotiable and
    dependent upon the candidate's qualifications and experience. Rank and
    salary will be commensurate with experience and education.

    Of special interest, in the Spring of 2006, Elon in partnership with
    Alamance Regional Medical Center opened the Center for Fitness and Human
    Movement Studies. This Center enhances the research, teaching, and
    clinical opportunities available.

    Required Qualifications
    * Physical therapist with terminal doctoral degree
    * Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in North Carolina
    * Clinical experience in the musculoskeletal practice pattern area
    * Proven abilities as a classroom or clinical instructor
    * Capable of conducting research with a well-defined research agenda
    * Team player with strong communication, organization, interpersonal,
    and problem solving skills
    * Active member of the American Physical Therapy Association

    Additional Desired Qualifications
    * American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties certification
    * Established scholarship record
    * Ability to teach other areas in the curriculum
