The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Texas Health
Science Center at Houston is seeking applicants for a full time, 12
month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or
associate professor in orthopaedic biomechanics. Applicants must hold
an earned Ph.D. or other terminal degree in biomedical, mechanical or
rehabilitation engineering, or a closely-related field. Ideal
applicants will have a background with academic scholarship,
demonstrated teaching effectiveness and a well defined research agenda
with a good publications record. Research should have clear application
to Orthopaedic Surgery and have good potential for external funding.
Responsibilities will include research, teaching, and student
mentorship. The primary appointment will be within the Department of
Orthopaedic Surgery with an optional adjoint or affiliate appointment in
the University of Texas InterInstitutional Biomedical Engineering
Department.
