We are currently designing a new laboratory and would like to install a
harness and overhead rail system to prevent falls during locomotion
studies. We would like to use the fall protection system for toddlers as
well as adults, so ideally the track system would be very low friction. We
are trying to decide whether to design and build our own or go with a
commerical fall protection system. Any information on either option would
be great. Also, if anyone has specs to build a system that can allow a
person to ambulate over an entire lab space as opposed to a single overhead
linear track that information would be much appreciated. I will post a
summary of the responses.
Thank you for your help-
