We are proud to announce the 1.1 release of the software FEBio, “Finite
Elements for Biomechanics”. FEBio is a nonlinear finite element software
package that is specifically designed to address problems in
computational biomechanics.
The 1.1 release includes a number of new features, such as a bandwidth
reducer for the skyline linear solver, shell elements, major
improvements to the contact algorithms, and data logging capabilities. A
detailed list of new features and bug fixes can be found in the
readme.txt file of the respective products.
The software is available from our website:
http://mrl.sci.utah.edu/software
You can preview the User’s Manual here:

We are also pleased to announce the 1.1 releases of PreView and PostView
– FE preprocessing and postprocessing software packages that support the
use of FEBio, as well as other FE solvers. These packages are available
at the same web page.
