  • PhD Graduate Research Assistantships at U.Pitt, RST

    The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Rehabilitation Science and
    Technology (RST), is currently seeking student applications for several
    PhD research assistantships in various areas in Rehabilitation Science.
    We have extensive research facilities available for students and active
    research in the areas of rehabilitation engineering, biomechanics,
    assistive technology, rehabilitation science, standards development and
    outcomes measures. Our research assistantships include full tuition
    support and stipend. To be considered for a research assistantship,
    students first need to apply and be accepted into the PhD degree program
    in Rehabilitation Science. Further details about our graduate programs

    The RST department at U. Pitt houses three Rehabilitation Engineering
    Research Centers supported by the National Institute on Disability and
    Rehabilitation Research (NIDDR), on Wheeled Transportation Safety
    (http://www.rercwts.pitt.edu ),
    Telerehabilitation (http://www.rerctr.pitt.edu
    ), and Spinal Cord Injury
    (http://www.rercsci.pitt.edu ),
    respectively. RST is also a partner in the Human Engineering Research
    Laboratories with the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (www.herlpitt.org
    ), and a partner in the NSF-funded Quality of
    Life Technology Engineering Research Center with Carnegie Mellon
    (www.qolt.org ).



    Admission to our graduate programs is on a rolling basis; however,
    students interested in research assistantships starting in the Fall 2008
    or Spring 2009 Terms should consider applying as soon as possible as the
