    Position Title: Assistant Professor in
    Athletic Training/Clinic Management –Tenure
    Track; Sport Management, Recreation and Tourism Division

    Primary Function:
    1. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the School of HMSLS.
    2. Conduct a focused line of research that may
    complement current faculty within the School of HMSLS
    3. Establish a record of external funding related to research area
    4. Perform traditional engagement activities in
    the Division, School, College, University, and profession.

    Specific Responsibilities:
    1. Teach undergraduate courses in Athletic
    Training/Clinic Management major (e.g., Care and
    Prevention of Sport Injuries, Pathology and
    Evaluation of Injuries: Lower Extremity & Upper
    Extremity, Therapeutic Athletic Training
    Modalities, Therapeutic Athletic Exercises,
    Therapeutic Medications & Health Conditions);
    2. Teach graduate courses for the School of
    HMSLS Master’s programs (e.g., Research Methods,
    Interpretation of Quantitative Research, or courses specific to expertise);
    3. Conduct a focused line of research and
    disseminate findings in peer-reviewed, scholarly
    journals and at professional meetings;
    4. Seek external funding for scholarly activities;
    5. Advise undergraduate students in Athletic
    Training and graduate students in the School of HMSLS;
    6. Supervise field experiences in Athletic Training
    7. Participate in customary service activities.

    Professional Qualifications:
    1. BOC certification and eligible for Ohio Licensure.
    2. Earned doctorate (ABD will be considered)
    in a field related to athletic training.
    3. Demonstrate potential or evidence of
    effective teaching at the university level.
    4. Practical experience is valued and
    preference will be given to individuals with
    knowledge of CAATE program requirements.

    Rank and Salary: Assistant Professor. Tenure
    track. Salary is commensurate with experience.

    Effective Date of Employment: August 2008.
