Dear Colleague:
We are writing to remind you that the early registration rate for ISEK08 https://www.isek2008.ca/default.asp has been extended until April 7, 2008. The late registration fee that you will be required to pay, shall you decide to register after April 7, will be approximately 20% higher than the early registration rate. Please take advantage of the early registration rate and plan to join us for ISEK08 in Niagara Falls this coming June 18-21, 2008.
We have organized a very exciting scientific program for the attendees of the XVII edition of the ISEK conference. We will have four exceptional pre-conference workshops on June 18. The topics of the workshops are: motor unit decomposition (by McGill and Clancy), FES in spinal cord injury (by Popovic and Ditor), neurophysiology of aging (by Doherty and Rice), and pelvic floor muscle function (by Hodges). Dr. Merletti will deliver the prestigious Basmajian lecture, celebrating the memory of Dr Basmajian (June 21, 1921 - March 18, 2008). Keynote lectures and symposia will be held on topics such as telerehabilitation, occupational biomechanics, applications of FES, robotics in rehabilitation, spasticity assessment, and virtual reality in rehabilitation.
Last ... but not least ... let us remind you to book your hotel room http://www.starwoodmeeting.com/StarGroupsWeb/booking/reservation?id=0708023473&key=3E822 There is a limited number of “early arrival†rooms still available. If you plan to attend the pre-conference workshops, we recommend that you book your room for an early arrival ASAP. Also, all the “Falls View†room part of the ISEK08 block have been booked, but there are still a few rooms with a “City View†at CAN$149.00 per night. Hurry up before all the hotel rooms are gone!!!
Hotel rooms are also available for arrival before June 18. If you get a message that no rooms are available, it is only temporary. Please contact David Gabriel, the Congress Secretary General directly so he can help. The hotel will not guarantee any rooms past May 19 as we are entering the tourist season. We urge you to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible to take advantage of the greatly reduced rates.
We look forward to seeing you at ISEK08.
Best regards,
David Gabriel, Congress Secretary General
Linda McLean, Congress Scientiï¬c Chair
Paolo Bonato, Congress Scientiï¬c Chair
