Hi
I am working on force platform installed as ground of calorimetric
chambers.
We would like to estimate mechanical energy expenditure of human living
and moving in this kind of chambers. For that I calculate the mechanical
work from tridimensionnal force measurement recorded with the platform.
I know that i can only partially quantify mechanical energy expenditure.
So I would like to answer two questions :
1/ is there any proportionnal relationship between mechanical work
measured with force platform and the total mechanical work of a human
moving moving on this kind of platform ?
2/ I am looking for a mathematical method to compensate drift in the
calculation of speed needed to calculate mechanical work from forces
recording.
Many thanks for any answer.
