Motion Lab Engineer
The John C. Wilson Jr. Motion Analysis Laboratory at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles Orthopaedic Center of Excellence is built to improve the walking ability of children with complex walking disorders through comprehensive clinical, technological evaluation and research. A combination of highly skilled, experienced personnel and state-of-the-art technology allows the motion lab to maintain its leadership position in the field of motion analysis. Our laboratory has an exciting job opportunity for a Motion Lab Engineer.
The Motion Lab Engineer is a key member of the motion lab team and is responsible for all technical aspects of clinical operations. Specific responsibilities are collecting, processing, verifying and maintaining the integrity of all data including motion, force, electromyography and oxygen consumption. The engineer is also responsible for managing all data storage and overseeing the technical aspects of all motion lab equipment. The engineer works closely with the Director of Research on the technical aspects of research projects.
The Motion Lab Engineer position requires a B.S. degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering from an accredited school of engineering. Experience in motion analysis is preferred.
