Washington University Program in Physical is currently accepting applications for a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Movement Science. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Movement Science or a Movement Science related field, a complete and published dissertation, and a desire for a research-intensive experience. Fellows not only work with leading investigators in movement science but are also able to collaborate with interdisciplinary faculty and programs within Washington University's School of Medicine in areas such as Geriatrics & Nutritional Science, Endocrinology, Metabolism and Lipid Research, Epidemiology & Health Behavior Research and Radiology.
Fellows will gain experience and skill in proposing and conducting clinical research, grantmanship, publications (manuscripts and abstract) which will benefit the fellow's career path in academia. The fellowship is funded for one year by the National Institute of Health/National Institute for Child Health and Human Development (T32-HD007434-13) for Training in Movement Science. Fellows will receive an annual stipend of $36,996, individual health insurance, funding for travel, and a workstation
Post doctoral fellows may have the opportunity to participate in teaching entry-level and post-professional students lab techniques. Informal teaching opportunities are available dependent upon mutual interest and will not exceed 20% of time. Teaching is not required for stipend.
