    The Division of Kinesiology and the Bone & Joint Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation Center (Bone & Joint Center) at the University of Michigan invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position, at the Associate or Full Professor level in the Division of Kinesiology. The successful candidate will have a leadership role in the Bone & Joint Center as the Associate Director for Research. We are looking for a scholar with demonstrated leadership and productivity in interdisciplinary, collaborative research related to musculoskeletal injury mechanisms, prevention, or rehabilitation. Individuals with training and experience in basic, clinical or translational research are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to applicants holding a PhD degree in conjunction with an ATC, PT, or MD degree, including appropriate postdoctoral training and experience. Priority will be given to applicants studying innovative research questions in human models. A record of research publications in high quality journals and federal funding is required Teaching experience is desirable, as the successful candidate will teach and mentor students at both graduate and undergraduate levels in the Athletic Training Education Program of the Division of Kinesiology.

    The Bone & Joint Center is a new interdisciplinary center at the University of Michigan bringing together researchers from kinesiology, medicine, engineering, and public health, with a vision of achieving lifelong musculoskeletal health, emphasizing physical activity and exercise across the lifespan The goal is to prevent musculoskeletal injury and achieve optimal health, mobility, and quality of life.
