Does anyone know of a cheap (400 USD) video camera that has a consistent
frame rate, 640 x 480 resolution (preferred), at least 1/500 shutter
speed, and outputs an avi (unless any of you have research that shows
other compressions formats don't affect kinematic data). We are
conducting a kinematic research study on dogs and need ten of these
cameras to employ at veterinary clinics. The cameras need to be easy to
use and be able to provide reliable kinematic data. It has been our
experience that some of the new consumer cameras have inconsistent frame
rates (bad for velocity data) and compression formats that alter
position data. Any leads you have would be greatly appreciated.
