Post-doctoral position in reaching post stroke at the University of
Queensland
We are seeking a motivated and independent individual for a
post-doctoral fellowship to join our multi-disciplinary research team.
The position is to manage a 3 year NHMRC funded research project aimed
at investigating the efficacy of a novel, non-robotic intervention to
train reaching post stroke.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in human movement studies,
kinesiology, physiotherapy, applied neuroscience or a related
discipline. They will have demonstrated experience in kinetic, kinematic
and surface EMG measures in human experimentation resulting in
publications and conference presentations, experience in programming and
signal processing for the above measures, experience in project
management and excellent interpersonal and writing skills.
The project team includes physiotherapy (Dr Sandy Brauer, Dr Ruth
Barker), biomechanics (A/Prof Andy Cresswell), motor control (Prof
Richard Carson) and engineering (Dr Steve Wilson).
