Dear All:
I am seeking a graduate student interested in pursuing a PhD project with
the title "Nanoscale Failure Effects in Biological Tissues assessed by
Atomic Force Microscopy" (Reference SES73052) within the Bioengineering
Group here in Southampton (UK). The project is part of a collaboration with
a leading manufacturer of atomic force microscopes (AFM) and is centered on
development, validation and use of an in-situ mechanical testing device for
loading of small bone, as well as other tissue, samples, while they are
being imaged at nanometer-resolution using AFM.
