company has an opening for a Business Development Manager (Ref: SL2413).
The company is looking for an applicant who is enthusiastic about
working with clients, and eager to develop and manage new business
opportunities for Simpleware's software solutions and services.
Simpleware provides the world leading image processing environment for
the conversion of 3D images into high quality Finite Element, CAD and
Rapid Prototyping models. For further information please visit

Overall purpose of job
Working within the sales and marketing team, you will take a lead role
in company growth through:
- Direct sales: Expansion of customer base
- Resellers and agents: Development of reseller and agent network
- Strategic partnerships: Build strong relationships with FE/CFD
software companies, Rapid Prototyping manufacturers, and 3D imaging
manufacturers
Our customers range from international blue chip corporations to
research institutions and universities. Some knowledge of computational
modelling techniques would be an advantage but is not essential.
Knowledge, experience, skills, and competencies
- Qualified to Masters Degree level with a solid technical background
- Highly articulate and customer-focussed
- Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal
skills
- Ability to build relationships with clients and partners quickly
- High enthusiasm and drive coupled with the ability to work in a
flexible environment
The position will involve considerable travel both within the UK and
abroad. Simpleware will provide an attractive salary package which will
include substantial performance based bonuses.
