  • A Structural Static Analysis instead of Rigid Dynamic Analysis(using ANSYS Workbench) !

    Dear,

I am working in the field of smart knee prosthesis. For the study of stress
distribution on the tibial component of knee prosthesis during one cycle of
normal level walking. I would like to get some information related to the
study of stress distribution on the upper surface of the tibial component of
knee prosthesis using 3D finite element model. Is it possible to make a
structural static analysis on the model using time-varying axial load (from
the International Standard ISO 14243-1: 2002) instead of making a rigid
dynamic analysis considering the movement of one component with respect to
    the other?

The tibial component will be constrained in all directions. The time-varying
forces will be applied on the femoral component and the stress distribution
will be estimated on the upper surface of the tibial component.

Finally, I will be so grateful for your scientific help.
