POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER IN VASCULAR TISSUE ENGINEERING
A postdoctoral researcher is required in the area of vascular tissue
engineering. The successful applicant will work specifically in the area of
vascular cell culture and cardiovascular mechanics, and will play a key role
in the development of a new tissue engineered blood vessel. She/He will work
within a multidisciplinary environment with the School of Mechanical &
Manufacturing Engineering and the School of Biotechnology in Dublin City
University, and collaborators in Chalmers University in Göteburg, Sweden.
The position is funded by Science Foundation Ireland under a Research
Frontiers Grant and the contract duration is 24 months. Salary will be
competitive and dependent upon experience.
Applicants will ideally have a PhD in Vascular Biology, Molecular Biology,
Biotechnology, Biomedical Science/Engineering with significant experience in
vascular cell biology and tissue engineering.
