Hello BIOMCH-Lers!
We are currently planning a study on childrens' playground accidents
related to the surfaces of the playgrounds. In our first step we want to do a
review of the current literature. So I want to ask the BIOMECH comunity for
hints on this topic especially on the following items:
* Are ther any studies on different injury risks (head injury,
fracture of arm and/or leg) depending on the surface of the playground.
* Are there any standards on surfaces of childrens' playgrounds?
* Are there any criterions on injury risks for falling down on
different surfaces (I am thinking of a criterion like the HIC
that is used in car accident studies)?
Pleas send your comments directly to my email-account. I will post a summary of
the answers. If you know of a list releted to this topic, do not hesitate to
crosspost (this message was originally posted on BIOMCH-L).
Thanks to all in advance
