mechanical evaluation of human vertebral body

We are starting a state funded research for the mechanical evaluation of cadaveric human vertebral bodies. Especially vertebral bodies with different cement augumentation techniques will be tested. I would appreciate any advice as to which are the current interest in this area and as well any guidance where the research should focus -or latest publication in this matter. Thank you.
