Final Announcement and call for Posters, Delegates and Exhibitors
"Identifying the Mechanical Properties of Biological Materials"
6th November, 2008 at ARUP Campus
Blythe Valley Park
Solihull, UK
Hosted by ARUP
Meditech
Simpleware
We are pleased to announce that the oral presentations for the above
meeting have been finalised and posted on www.meditech.cf.ac.uk. The
programme consists of invited speakers who are world leaders in the field
of biological materials as well as contributed papers and posters. The
programme considers both new and existing scientific techniques (laboratory
and computation/simulation based) for the identification of the properties
of biological materials. It also considers the application of these
techniques in providing enhanced solutions, innovative material models and
novel computational formulations that can be used in analysing and
simulating tissue structure response.
Although all the oral presentation slots are now full we would still be
pleased to consider contributed Poster Presentations. Delegates are now
welcome to register on a first come first served basis and commercial
organisations, software houses and research centres wishing to exhibit and
demonstrate are also particularly welcome.
The fee for the meeting is £75 which is subsidised by Arup and includes
lunch, coffee breaks and the conference packs which we believe is excellent
value for such an event.
If you wish to present a poster or provide a display please contact Rumana
at or see information .
Also note that exhibition space for companies, publishers and software
houses is free of charge however the meeting fee for each person attending
will apply.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to the Arup Campus on 6th Nov
2008.
(Note that presentations of the Imaging meeting held in Paris 2/3 October
are now on the website - joining the network is free through
