FACULTY POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Kinesiology announces the availability of a
tenure-track position in Motor Behavior with a commitment to teaching
excellence, scholarly productivity, and service. The appointment will be
effective August 17, 2009.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Kinesiology, or a related field.
ABD candidates will be considered. Post-doctoral experience preferred.
Candidates must demonstrate a strong potential to establish an
independent research program consistent with expectations of a research
university and to teach courses in motor development and other motor
behavior related subjects at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Candidates should demonstrate research records and interest in at least
one of the fundable motor behavior related research areas: biomechanics,
motor control, motor development and motor learning.
Responsibilities: (1) Conduct scholarly research; (2) teach
undergraduate and graduate classes; (3) advise graduate students; (4)
direct theses and dissertations; (5) seek external support for scholarly
activities; and (6) perform service to the department, college,
university, and profession.
Rank: Assistant Professor
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Application Deadline: Evaluation of applications will begin December 1,
2008 and will continue until the position is filled.
