    Clemmer College of Education - Department of Kinesiology, Leisure and Sport Sciences - Assistant/Associate Professor in Biomechanics - Position is contingent upon state funding. Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to): Advising, preparing, and mentoring doctoral, master's, and undergraduate students; maintaining an active research agenda with a focused sport science research line that results in continued scholarly achievement and potential for external grant funding; supervising student field experiences/internships; and engaging in professional service activities. Candidates should be able to teach a variety of courses in Biomechanics and capable of independently directing master's theses and doctoral dissertations. Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Biomechanics or related area, emerging scholar in Biomechanics with potential for an active research agenda; potential excellence in higher education teaching and service; ability to use technology in teaching, research and service. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate knowledge of diversity, skills in addressing needs of diverse groups and an appreciation for multiculturalism. Salary: commensurate with qualifications and experience. Effective date of Employment: August 2009. This is a 9-month, tenure-track appointment with potential for summer employment.
