12th Biennial Computer Simulation Symposium (ISCSB 2009)
July 2-4 2009, Cape Town, South Africa (weekend leading up to ISB 2009)
Symposium website: http://isbweb.org/~tgcs/iscsb-2009/
The symposium will be held on Cape Town's V & A Waterfront at: Breakwater Lodge: http://www.proteahotels.com/protea-hotel-breakwater-lodge.html
This symposium is organized by the ISB Technical Group on Computer Simulation and is a satellite event of the XXII Congress of the International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) which takes place in Cape Town, South Africa 5-9 July 2009.
The symposium will be a scientific and technical meeting for investigators and students whose focus is computer simulation in biomechanics. The tradition of the TGCS symposia is to provide a format that stimulates vigorous interaction among the participants. Thus, at the end of each session of oral presentations there will be the opportunity for presenters to give an interactive computer demonstration. There will be one session at a time to facilitate continuity of debate among participants. The two day symposium will include a keynote presentation each day. Andrzej Komor New Investigator Award will be presented to recognize the best paper by a new investigator at the symposium. The award will consist of a $500 prize and a certificate.
Deadline for submitting abstracts is 1st March 2009 with notification of accept/reject by 1st April 2009 and a registration deadline of 1st May 2009 (see website for further details).
If you have any queries with regard to the symposium get in touch with me on M.A.King@lboro.ac.uk
Thanks
