  • Research Assistant Position

    The Human Neuromechanics Laboratory (www-personal.umich.edu/~ferrisdp/UMHNLhtml) at the University of Michigan is looking for a well organized, dependable individual to conduct biomechanics and neuroscience research, set up and troubleshoot equipment (including motion analysis systems, EMG, force platforms. EEG, and robotic systems), write computer programs, and collect, analyze, and present experimental data. Additional duties will include conducting general library research; assisting laboratory staff with experiments; ordering equipment and supplies; supervising undergraduate research assistants, and minor clerical work. The position is full time.

    Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Kinesiology, Master's degree preferred. Experience with computer programming (Matlab, Simulink, Visual 3D), electronics troubleshooting, robotics, EEG, and/or biomechanics research is required.

    Start Date: May or June start date, flexible.
