** MSc Research Studentship in Clinical Biomechanics**

Highly motivated students interested in pursuing an MSc degree by
research in the Department of Sport, Health & Exercise Science at the
University of Hull are invited to apply. We are looking to appoint a new
research student in Clinical Biomechanics ideally from September 2009 or
    soon thereafter.

Tuition fees will be paid at the EU/UK rate by the Department of Sport,
Health & Exercise Science for one year, full-time.

The appointed student will participate in a research project in part
funded by the BUPA Foundation investigating the effects of exercise and
intervention on gait and balance in older patients with poor lower limb
    circulation (intermittent claudication).

Applicants should have at least a 2.1 honours degree (or predicted) in
an appropriate Sport Science, Engineering or other related discipline
with specific experience of biomechanics. Previous research experience
with three-dimensional motion capture would be desirable assets.

The Human Performance Laboratory in the Department of Sport, Health and
Exercise Science is equipped with a 20-camera high speed motion analysis
system, five force platforms, synchronised EMG system, isokinetic
dynamometry and equipment for dynamic posturography.
