    The Liberty Mutual Research Institute (LMRI) in Hopkinton, MA. is
    seeking an experienced researcher to join the Center for Physical
    Ergonomics. The mission of the Center is to investigate the causes and
    mechanisms of workplace injuries and illnesses with an emphasis on
    musculoskeletal disorders. We are a fully-funded research Institute, and
    are committed to a high quality of scientific work, and disseminating
    all of our findings in peer-reviewed scientific publications.
    This researcher will develop, direct, and implement studies within core
    areas such as manual material handling, slip, trips and falls and
    repetitive motion injuries. The successful candidate is expected to have
    experimental research experience with an in-depth knowledge of surface
    EMG, motor control and biomechanical modeling. A special interest in
    shoulder disorders and shoulder loading in the workplace would be an
    advantage.
    This is an exciting opportunity to join an internationally-recognized,
    multidisciplinary team with a commitment to teamwork, creativity,
    collaboration and dialogue. The Institute staff represents the fields of
    biomechanics, experimental and cognitive psychology, epidemiology,
    tribology, physiology, engineering, sociology, biostatistics and the
    clinical sciences. We have excellent laboratory, computer, statistical,
    research and technical support available on-site, and research
    activities are internally funded. We have active collaborations with
    Harvard University, the University of Massachusetts, and other
    international academic leaders in our fields of interest. Liberty Mutual

    workers through the work of the Institute over the past 50 years.
    Qualifications:
    * Candidates should have advanced degrees in relevant areas of
    ergonomics research, e.g., kinesiology/movement science, exercise
    physiology, biomechanics, or engineering.
    * Established record of peer-reviewed scientific publication.
    * Excellent oral and written communication skills.
