dedicated to cutting-edge simulation techniques for orthopedic implant
design and evaluation. The specific topics that will be covered are:
Modeling the Human Body – Musculoskeletal modeling and activities of
daily living
Extracting and incorporating 3D geometry and material properties from
tomographic medical image data
Coupling musculoskeletal modeling and finite element analysis
How to incorporate musculoskeletal simulation in the design and
evaluation of orthopedic implants
The Orthopedic Implant Simulation Seminar is part of a full day
Symposia on Numerical Modeling and Computational Simulation. Please
feel free to attend the other specialized topics later in the day
including Optimization, Solar, and Acoustics simulations. Case
studies related to each topic will be presented.
