Postdoctoral positions available at Hospital for Special Surgery
The Hospital for Special Surgery announces the availability of two training positions for postdoctoral candidates through an NIH T32 Training Grant for Musculoskeletal Research. Positions are open to those with MD, PhD, DVM, or DDS degrees who have had no more than 1 year of postdoctoral support on another NIH institutional training grant or individual NIH fellowship award These positions include both didactic teaching and laboratory investigation, including training in research design, statistical methods, writing and speaking skills, and grant writing capability. Both basic and translational research opportunities are available. Applicants interested in orthopaedic-related research are especially welcomed. Individuals supported by this grant must be US citizens or noncitizen nationals (permanent residents). Trainees on temporary or student visas are ineligible.
If interested, we require a curriculum vitae, at least two letters of recommendation, and a narrative description of the applicant's long-term career objectives and short-term training and research goals. Additionally, a detailed 5-page description of the proposed research project will be required once a mentor is chosen.
