  • Best Resources for Used Mechanical Testing Equipment?

    Hello,

I am a biomedical engineering student working at OrthoHelix, an orthopedics startup, in Medina, Ohio. We are looking to set-up a mechanical test lab in house and are interested in purchasing a used INSTRON or MTS uniaxial electromechanical testing device and a torsion testing system for metallic bone screws. I am interested to see if anyone has any recommendations for places to use or places to avoid for such devices. It seems like there are a lot of options out there. In addition, is there an updated link for the Biomechanics Flea Market? I saw a posting about this in the BIOMCH-L Archives, but the http://dragon.acadiau.ca/~pbaudin/biomch.html address did not work for me. I appreciate any suggestions and/or guidance you may be able to offer.

    Kind Regards,

    Ashley McKee
