Sports Biomechanist ¡V Running and Court sports
As Sports Biomechanist of LN-SSRC in Beijing, China, you¡¦ll manage product performance research aimed at increasing Li-Ning¡¦s understanding of athletes needs and specific activity requirements to develop technologically innovative footwear that is globally relevant. You¡¦ll be a full-time Researcher in SSRC¡¦s Biomechanics Laboratory and a contributor to the footwear product creation process. You¡¦ll demonstrate your commitment to biomechanics research excellence and ability to transfer your laboratory knowledge to enhance the functional performance of running and court sports footwear. You¡¦ll interact with R&D department in FoShan, China and Global Innovation Center (GIC) in Portland, OR, USA, and to manage product test requests, set research priorities and meet timelines of product development. You¡¦ll mentor and train other research staff and students from preparation of product testing protocols to data analysis and presentation as well as technical report and scientif
ic manuscript writing. You¡¦ll present your lab work to in-house colleagues or visitors and at scientific meetings and conferences. You¡¦ll become the resident expert for sports biomechanics and footwear related research and support the company¡¦s communication and marketing needs by giving lab tours and demonstrating Li-Ning¡¦s commitment to product performance research through presentations at scientific meetings, conferences and publication in scientific journals. In additional, you¡¦ll also contribute to strategic planning and future development of LN-SSRC.
Requirements for the position include:
Master's degree or above, preferably a Ph.D. in Biomechanics/Kinesiology/Sports Science or a closely related discipline.
At least 3 years of experience in academic or industrial research and project management in biomechanics.
Extensive experience in conducting human locomotion research and related data analysis and databases management; preferred experience in footwear research.
Proficiency in technical report writing in English and be able to make concise conclusions and evidence-based recommendations.
Fluent in spoken and written English; preferred ability in spoken and written Chinese.
Able to travel within Mainland China and to other international cities.
