>The Motor Recovery Laboratory http://www.uth.tmc.edu/schools/med/phymed/research/index.html at the University of Texas Health Science Center ¨C Houston (UTHSC-H) is seeking a postdoctoral fellow or a research associate. The successful candidate will work closely with Sheng Li, MD, PhD and Gerard Francisco, MD. Opportunities exist to be involved in other research projects, e.g., rehabilitation robotic, or to interact in collaborative research with faculty within the UT/Baylor PM&R Alliance program.

>The Motor Recovery Laboratory is part of Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UTHSC-H. It is located in The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research, TIRR (http://www.memorialhermann.org/locations/tirr/). Our lab is equipped with TMS (BiStim), Electrical Stimulator, rehab robot (Rice arm), surface EMG, force sensors, and customized experimental apparatus.

>Applicants should have a PhD degree in bioengineering, biomechanics, kinesiology, rehabilitation science, or related fields. Efficiency in Matlab and/or Labview is expected. Experience with human subject research, particularly stroke patients is highly desirable.

>The appointment can start immediately after interviews. The initial appointment is two years with possibility of extension. Salary is negotiable, and commensurate with experience.
