Can someone help me with the following problem? A tracking system yields 20
3-D coordinates from markers placed on an athelete's limbs. How do I calculate
(in real time, using a Pentium/PowerPC-based machine), the following:
(1) Linear velocity, acceleration, and d(acceleration)/dt for either
the whole body, a specific appendage or both.
(2) Angular velocity, acceleration, and d(acceleration)/dt for either
the whole body, a specific appendage, or both.
(3) (1) and (2) or any combination of indivdual items in (1) and (2)
Any and all comments are welcome. I am looking for software, suggestions
on how to calculate the parameters in (1) and (2), references, etc.
Thank you very much.
