    NexGen Ergonomics Inc. (www.nexgenergo.com) is a leading worldwide provider of software and instrumentation used in ergonomics and biomechanics for analysis, research, design and education. We are currently looking for several talented people to join our team in Montreal, QC. The current positions relate to our human modeling software and motion analysis software products.



    Senior IMU related products developer



    The selected candidate will participate in the development of an advanced motion analysis system. His/her responsibilities will include designing and implementing filtering and analysis algorithms for a motion analysis software which will be coupled with HumanCAD, our human modeling simulation platform, and also available as an standalone library.



    Required skills & qualifications
    * University degree in mathematics, electrical engineering, or software engineering

    * Strong knowledge of mathematics specifically in numerical methods of integration/differentiation

    * Experience with inertial measurement units

    * Experience with signal analysis and filtering (Kalman, Butterworth, etc.)

    * Relevant programming experience (Matlab, C, C++, ...)



    Desirable skills & qualifications

    * Familiarity with embedded systems programming (PIC, ARM, etc.)

    * Experience with IK/FK, inverse dynamics or biomechanics

    * Knowledge in rigid bodies dynamics

    * Relevant programming experience in C++ (boost, Qt, CMake, .)



    Personal skills & qualifications

    * Independent problem solving skills

    * Attention to detail and a positive attitude

    * Excellent communication skills

    * Work environment: French and English

    Intermediate to Senior Software Developer or Engineer

    The selected candidate will be part of the development team and work on the development of a character animation rendering system powered by motion analysis data. This motion analysis system will provide inertial measurement viewing and analysis capabilities. The candidate will be designing, implementing and integrating the 3D rendering of the target motion.



    Required skills & qualifications
    * University degree in a relevant domain (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics)

    * C++ Experience

    * 3D real time animation or imaging applications experience

    * OpenGL related experience



    Desirable skills & qualifications
    * Familiarity with OpenSceneGraph or similar toolkits

    * IK/FK (inverse and forward kinematics) experience

    * Knowledge of shaders (GLSL, etc.)

    * Experience with character animation

    * Physics engines experience

    * Knowledge in rigid bodies dynamics


    Other skills & qualifications
    * A minor in Human Factors, Robotics, and Biomechanics is a plus.

    * Experience in robotics and/or biomechanics, motion analysis

    Junior Software Developer or Engineer



    The selected candidate will participate in the design and implementation of a motion analysis software library providing motion capture from an inertial sensor system to our HumanCAD product. His/her responsibilities will include implementing and designing the proper systems to integrate the algorithms and solutions developed by the senior inertial sensors analysis developer.



    Required skills & qualifications

    * University degree in a relevant domain (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics)

    * C++ Experience



    Desirable skills & qualifications

    * Familiarity with embedded systems programming (PIC, ARM, etc.)

    * Exposure and use of physics engines

    * Experience with the development of drivers, firmware or SDKs

    * Experience with character animation

    * Experience in IK/FK (inverse and forward kinematics) inverse dynamics and/or biomechanics, motion capture analysis
